一.引言

幽默普遍存在于各民族的文化和語言之中,并帶著本民族濃厚的

文化烙印。文化底蘊(yùn)深厚的英格蘭民族,其歷史傳統(tǒng)、意識(shí)形態(tài)、

風(fēng)俗習(xí)慣、思維方式、行為模式等文化構(gòu)建中均表現(xiàn)出幽默的特質(zhì)。

本文旨在對(duì)英語中幽默的表達(dá)形式進(jìn)行探討,并試圖從心理學(xué)和社

會(huì)語言學(xué)的角度來分析幽默語言的功能。

二.英語幽默主要表達(dá)形式

按幽默在交際中所發(fā)揮的作用來劃分,可把幽默分為雙關(guān)(pun)幽

默型,反語(irony)幽默型,邏輯(logic)幽默型和黑色(black)幽默

型等。、

(一)雙關(guān)(pun)幽默型

雙關(guān)是一種修辭。雙關(guān)幽默是利用英語語言的中許多同形多義或

音同而義不同的詞語,有意識(shí)地將其意思表達(dá)附著雙重意義。在交

際中,我們借助這種修辭手段可以造成一種滑稽、幽默的效果,這是

一個(gè)人智慧和才能的體現(xiàn)。而這種表達(dá)形式的幽默常常表現(xiàn)在談話

中。
