Though my daily life is extremely monotonous, I try hard to adapt myself to it. Why? Because I intend to be a good student. I wish to render service to my country.

I get up at six o’clock every day. After I wash my face and brush my teeth, I begin to review my lessons. I go to school at seven o’clock.

After school is over, I return home. We usually have supper at seven o’clock.Then I begin to do my homework. I want to finish it before I go to bed.

There is no doubt that happiness is the most precious thing in the world. Without it, life will be empty and meaningless. If you wish to know how to get happiness, you must pay attention to the following two points.

First, health is the secret of happiness (the key to happiness). Only a strong man can enjoy the pleasure of life.

Secondly, happiness consists in contentment. A man who is dissatisfied with his present condition is always in distress.

無疑的快樂是世界上最寶貴的東西。沒有它，人生將是空虛的而且毫無意義的。如果你希望知道如何獲得快樂，你須注意下面兩點(diǎn)。

健康是快樂的要訣。唯有身體強(qiáng)壯的人才能享受人生的樂趣。

As is well known, books teach us to learn life, truth, science and many other useful things. They increase our knowledge, broaden our minds and strengthen our character. In other words, they are our good teachers and wise friends. This is the reason why our parents always encourage us to read more books.

Reading is a good thing, but we must pay great attention to the choice of books. It is true that we can derive benefits from good books. However, bad books will do us more harm than good.

One Sunday my mother (Mother) had (made) me take my little young brother to the a trip to the country. She bade me take good care of him.

While we were walking along the road, the sun was shining brightly and the breeze was blowing gently. We saw the beautiful flowers smile (smiling) at us and heard the birds sing (singing) their sweet songs on the trees. The scenery was indeed very pretty (beautiful).

When we felt tired, we returned home. We saw Mother (our mother) wait (waiting) for us at the door.

It is the duty of every citizen to make the country rich and powerful (To make the country rich and strong is...). In order to accomplish this object one must be patriotic (love his country). I consider this an unchangeable truth.

How can a student love his country (be patriotic)? I find my answer very simple and clear. He must study hard and store up knowledge so as to serve his (the) country in the future. If every student can do according to what I said, the country will certainly be rich and powerful.

要使國(guó)家富強(qiáng)是每個(gè)公民的責(zé)任。為了達(dá)到此目的，必須愛國(guó)。我認(rèn)為這是一條不易的定理。

Many people do not know the value of time. It (this) is indeed a great pity. We must bear (keep) in mind that wasting time is equal to wasting your life.

Though Sundays are set aside as a day for rest, we must make good use of them.We know that our school lessons are usually not sufficient. We should often utilize Sundays to read reference books. In this way we will increase our knowledge. What are the benefits of honesty? If you are honest to others, they will be honest to you in return. When you are sad, they will comfort you. When you are in trouble, they will help you. There is no enumerating the evils of dishonesty here. In a word, a dishonest man will be looked down upon by others and (be) regarded as a public enemy.

It was the second day of our summer holiday. I felt good. I felt I am free. I had a lot of time to do things I like. My parents are in Zhongshan. So I live alone but I don’t feel lonely. But I didn’t do something special. I stayed at home and watched TV. Oh! I wrote an Englishdaily composition. It was my homework. Today, I have slept for 14 hours.I thought I was very tired. It was time for dinner. I must go! I am very hungry.

I am planning to spend my summer holiday on sports this year. Playing basketball is always my favourite, so some of my classmates and I will form a small team and play basketball together. Sometimes we may have a match against some other teams and I do enjoy the sense when we win the game.

Today I found time was a cruel thing. Whatever man is, time always goes on. It won’t stay to wait for somebody. You can’t use anything to exchange time. Time is also a fair thing. Although you have a lot of money or you enjoy high reputation, time won’t leave them more. Today I found I hadn’t enough time. Although I have more than a-month holiday, but I found I had a lot of things to do. I had a lot of homework to do and I am essential to complete the homework as soon as I have time.

I have rested for 10 days. In these days, I felt very bored. I didn’t know to do what. Although I had a lot of things to do, I felt uncomfortable. I was ill because of the hot weather. I was tired, sleepy and had no strength. My parents are worried about my health. in fact, it didn’t matter. I was always in the room with air-conditioner and opened it in a low temperature. So when I went out, the high temperature disagreed to me.At last, I was ill.

It was sunny today. I was excited. I got up at a quarter to seven. I made a appointment to meet at nine o’clock. After I had my breakfast, I went to the Wanjia Market . It was hot outside. When I arrived, my friends didn’t arrive. I waited for him in front of the KFC’s door. I haven’t seen them for a year. And in a year, we didn’t come into contact with others frequently. About ten minutes left, my friends arrived one by one. After we greeted,we went to play basketball in Liwan Gymnasium. The match last for tow hours.Oh!I fill very happy today!

Yesterday we played happily, but there were only ten people. I remembered last year there were twenty-two people at all. I heard some my friends had gone abroad. They went abroad to study. Maybe I couldn’t see them in the future. I think next year we won’t make a party. Next year is a very important year. 英語日記格式

要學(xué)好寫英語短文，就必須經(jīng)常練習(xí)寫作。記日記是提高書面表達(dá)能力的有效方

法之一。日記是每日生活的記載，是一種記事文體。

一、日記的格式

英文日記通常由書端和正文兩個(gè)部分組成。日記常以第一人稱記下當(dāng)天生活

中的所見、所聞、所做或所想的事情。中、英文的日記三格式大致一樣。英語日

記的書端是專門寫日記的日期、星期和天氣的。左上角是日期（年、月、日）、

星期。右上角寫上當(dāng)天的天氣情況，如：Sunny，F(xiàn)ine，Rainy，Windy，Snowy，

Cloudy等。

1、日期表達(dá)有多種形式。年、月、日都寫時(shí)，通常以月、日、年為順序，月

份可以縮寫，日和年用逗號(hào)隔開。例如：

A）September 1，2004或September 1st，2004也可省略寫成Sept. 1，2004

或Sept. 1st，2004；the 1st of September in 2004（月份不可以縮寫）

B）只有月、日：September 1或September 1st（月份可以縮寫）

C）只有年、月：September 2004或the September of 2004（月份不可以縮寫）

以上的1或1st都應(yīng)讀作the first.

2、星期也可以省略不寫，可將其放在日期前或后，星期和日期之間不用標(biāo)

點(diǎn)，但要空一格，星期也可縮寫。如：

Saturday，October 22nd，2004；October 22nd，2004 Saturday

3.天氣情況必不可少。天氣一般用一個(gè)形容詞如：Sunny，F(xiàn)ine，Rainy，Snowy

等表示。寫在日期之后，用逗號(hào)隔開，位于日記的右上角。如：

Saturday，March 4，2004，Windy；1st January，2004，F(xiàn)ine

二、日記的要求

日記的正文是日記的主要部分，寫在星期和日期的正下方，可以頂格寫，也

可以內(nèi)縮3至5個(gè)字母的空間。由于記載的內(nèi)容通常已經(jīng)發(fā)生，謂語動(dòng)詞多用一

般過去時(shí)。但也可根據(jù)具體情況，用其它時(shí)態(tài)。如：記敘天氣、描寫景色，為了

描寫生動(dòng)，可以使用現(xiàn)在時(shí)，以表現(xiàn)當(dāng)時(shí)的情景。再如文后發(fā)表感想或評(píng)論可用

現(xiàn)在時(shí)態(tài)或?qū)�來時(shí)態(tài)。記日記力求簡(jiǎn)單明了，有連貫性。若有文字提示，則應(yīng)重

視提示，把握要點(diǎn)。在句式上盡量使用簡(jiǎn)單句，以防繁雜，造成語法、句型錯(cuò)誤。

三、日記的類型和訓(xùn)練

日記分為記事型、議論型、描寫型和抒情型。建議大家在學(xué)習(xí)寫日記的過程

中，可按以下步驟進(jìn)行：

①將一天所經(jīng)歷的主要事情和過程依次簡(jiǎn)要地記下來，不附加任何感情色

彩，這是最簡(jiǎn)單的記日記的方法；

②閱讀別人的日記，并利用所學(xué)過的句型來表達(dá)個(gè)人在一天中觀察到的或感

受到的事情。
