Top universities tie in picking outstanding high school students 　　 　　 On February 26, a group of nineChinese polytechnic universities,including Beijing Institute ofTechnology and Tianjin University,held a joint recruitment exam.
　　 Two other consortiums of top Chineseuniversities each conducted a joint recruitmentexam the previous weekend, just beforethe start of this spring semester in Chineseschools. One consortium consists of sevenuniversities including Tsinghua Universityand the other consists of 13 universities includingPeking University.
