記者：經(jīng)過7年的不懈努力，2008北京奧運(yùn)取得了圓滿成功，青島作為奧帆賽的舉辦城市，也完成了舉辦一屆“有特色、高水平”的帆船比賽的歷史使命。無論是獨(dú)具創(chuàng)意的啟動(dòng)儀式和閉幕晚會(huì)、還是精彩的全程比賽，都達(dá)到了“給世界一份驚喜”的既定目標(biāo)，作為奧帆委主席，請(qǐng)您對(duì)剛剛結(jié)束的奧帆賽給予評(píng)價(jià)。
　　 夏耕：由青島來承辦北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)帆船帆板比賽項(xiàng)目，可以說是這座城市千載難逢的歷史機(jī)遇。這一機(jī)遇，首先來自黨中央、國(guó)務(wù)院和全國(guó)、全省人民對(duì)青島的信任和重托。承辦奧帆賽這一世界最高水平的賽事，是對(duì)青島各級(jí)黨政領(lǐng)導(dǎo)組織能力、動(dòng)員能力的一次大考，也是對(duì)全市人民團(tuán)隊(duì)精神、文明素質(zhì)的一次大考。從2001年7月13日那一天起，青島人民就一刻沒有懈怠。全市切實(shí)履行鄭重承諾，瞄準(zhǔn)“有特色、高水平”的目標(biāo)，全力投入籌辦工作。奧帆賽期間，運(yùn)動(dòng)員、教練員、裁判員非常有序地進(jìn)行了各項(xiàng)目的比賽，比賽的實(shí)際完成率達(dá)92.86%。

　　 記者：在賽事組織、服務(wù)和安保等方面，您認(rèn)為青島有哪些值得稱道的地方？
　　 夏耕：在競(jìng)賽組織方面，我們的場(chǎng)館運(yùn)行高效有序，我們與北京奧組委、國(guó)際帆聯(lián)、國(guó)際國(guó)內(nèi)技術(shù)官員及各個(gè)運(yùn)動(dòng)隊(duì)溝通順暢，65名國(guó)際技術(shù)官員、115名國(guó)家技術(shù)官員和競(jìng)賽團(tuán)隊(duì)、成績(jī)團(tuán)隊(duì)、奧林匹克電視轉(zhuǎn)播團(tuán)隊(duì)配合默契，201條工作船艇和10萬多件體育器材運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)良好。根據(jù)天氣尤其是風(fēng)力狀況，科學(xué)調(diào)整競(jìng)賽日程，成功實(shí)施了獎(jiǎng)牌輪比賽、帆板比賽的障礙滑航線及勝利者返航線，順利完成了海上頒獎(jiǎng)，不僅增加了帆船比賽的激烈程度，而且提高了帆船比賽的現(xiàn)場(chǎng)觀賞性，為奧帆賽注入了青島元素，促進(jìn)了世界帆船運(yùn)動(dòng)的發(fā)展�！扒鄭u模式”也為帆船運(yùn)動(dòng)，為未來的奧帆賽作出了貢獻(xiàn)，形成了自己獨(dú)特特色的東西，將被載入史冊(cè)。
　　 我們的奧運(yùn)分村的工作設(shè)施運(yùn)行正常，為運(yùn)動(dòng)員創(chuàng)造了良好的生活環(huán)境。我們的四次入住儀式，歡迎了62個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)的716名運(yùn)動(dòng)員、隨隊(duì)官員。北京提出的25大類、93項(xiàng)溫馨細(xì)致的服務(wù)，我們?nèi)�部按照�?biāo)準(zhǔn)提供。同時(shí)，我們也為運(yùn)動(dòng)隊(duì)提供了17個(gè)語(yǔ)種的語(yǔ)言服務(wù)，對(duì)入住運(yùn)動(dòng)隊(duì)所提出的問題和合理要求，全部第一時(shí)間予以解決，滿足他們的需求，為各個(gè)國(guó)家的帆船隊(duì)提供了一個(gè)安全、舒適、溫馨、有序、歡樂、祥和的共同家園。奧運(yùn)分村還完成了所有的國(guó)際奧委會(huì)、國(guó)際帆聯(lián)、北京奧組委和國(guó)賓團(tuán)組在場(chǎng)館的禮賓接待任務(wù)。奧帆賽期間的服務(wù)保障工作整體運(yùn)行順暢，各個(gè)保障團(tuán)隊(duì)都兌現(xiàn)了承諾，精益求精，為各類客戶群提供溫馨、細(xì)致、個(gè)性的賽事和生活服務(wù)，也得到了充分肯定。餐飲工作運(yùn)行正常，8個(gè)餐廳滿足七類客戶群3800余人的就餐需求，日供三餐5000余人次，工作量非常大。為運(yùn)動(dòng)員和隨隊(duì)官員提供24小時(shí)不間斷的餐飲服務(wù)，沒有發(fā)生食品不安全問題。
　　 我們的觀眾服務(wù)創(chuàng)了歷屆奧帆賽的新高，陸域觀眾區(qū)和主題公園接待觀眾超過20萬人次，特別是陸域觀眾區(qū)是往屆奧帆賽沒有的。6條觀眾船共接待觀眾6323人次，為觀眾提供了引導(dǎo)、遮陽(yáng)、商品售賣、體育展示等人性化的服務(wù)，在奧帆賽歷史上首次讓觀眾得以近距離觀賽。國(guó)際官員和運(yùn)動(dòng)員，認(rèn)為我們主防波堤的設(shè)計(jì)體現(xiàn)了人性化，更增加了帆船的觀賞性，而且增加了一個(gè)運(yùn)動(dòng)員和陸域觀眾，以及他們國(guó)家觀眾互動(dòng)的非常好的平臺(tái)，他們對(duì)此都高度稱贊。
　　奧帆賽期間，我們實(shí)現(xiàn)了安保團(tuán)隊(duì)，各軍種、各警種工作團(tuán)隊(duì)和安保志愿者以及公安、賽事運(yùn)行團(tuán)隊(duì)密切協(xié)作，及時(shí)溝通、全面銜接、快速反應(yīng)，全力做好安全檢查、周邊封控和應(yīng)急處置工作，全面構(gòu)筑了全方位、立體化、多層次，集海、陸、空和人防、物防、技防于一體的安保體系，確保了各類客戶群、儀式慶典活動(dòng)及重要貴賓的絕對(duì)安全，得到了各方面的普遍贊譽(yù)。
　　 另外，整個(gè)賽事的交通、住宿、抵離、注冊(cè)、醫(yī)療衛(wèi)生、物流、技術(shù)保障等各項(xiàng)工作有序運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)，確保了賽事順利進(jìn)行。
　　 記者：志愿服務(wù)在歷屆奧運(yùn)會(huì)上都是很重要的一部分，您怎樣評(píng)價(jià)奧帆賽的志愿服務(wù)工作？
　　 夏耕：國(guó)際奧委會(huì)主席羅格說過：“奧林匹克是運(yùn)動(dòng)員的盛會(huì)，也是志愿者的盛會(huì)�！鼻鄭u承辦北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)帆船比賽，給我們城市帶來最重要的一筆財(cái)富就是，建立了一支充滿真誠(chéng)和燦爛微笑的志愿者隊(duì)伍，志愿服務(wù)成為青島最靚麗的名片。
　　 奧帆賽期間，1800名賽會(huì)志愿者在29個(gè)職能領(lǐng)域，服務(wù)時(shí)間達(dá)35萬小時(shí)。國(guó)內(nèi)外服務(wù)客戶群超過14萬人次，1000名城市志愿者、10000名社會(huì)志愿者分布在全市1657個(gè)服務(wù)站為來青島的運(yùn)動(dòng)員和海內(nèi)外游客提供信息向?qū)�、語(yǔ)言翻譯、應(yīng)急救助和才藝展示等服務(wù)，服務(wù)時(shí)間32.8萬小時(shí)。充分展示了東道主的熱情友好和時(shí)代風(fēng)采。志愿者以燦爛的微笑、熱情專業(yè)的服務(wù)、高素質(zhì)的表現(xiàn)，為賽事的完美流暢的運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)提供了堅(jiān)實(shí)的保障，贏得了各類客戶群的贊譽(yù)，成為一道靚麗的風(fēng)景線。國(guó)際奧委會(huì)主席羅格對(duì)我們賽事運(yùn)行包括全市人民的微笑，都留下了很深刻的印象。國(guó)際奧委會(huì)北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)協(xié)調(diào)委員會(huì)主席海因?維爾布魯根先生，在這方面也給予了充分肯定。
　　 記者：能不能請(qǐng)您介紹一下奧帆賽期間的新聞宣傳與媒體運(yùn)行工作？
　　 夏耕：我們的新聞宣傳與媒體運(yùn)行團(tuán)隊(duì)與國(guó)際帆聯(lián)、奧林匹克電視轉(zhuǎn)播商配合非常好，非常默契。我可以向你提供這樣一組數(shù)據(jù)：奧帆賽廣播電視信號(hào)得到了21家持權(quán)轉(zhuǎn)播商的青睞，20多個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)的25家廣播電視媒體來青島參與了奧帆賽的報(bào)道。34個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)的183家媒體、299名注冊(cè)記者來青島采訪，共刊發(fā)奧帆賽報(bào)道2171篇，被網(wǎng)絡(luò)轉(zhuǎn)載2185篇次。奧帆賽期間，2008北京國(guó)際新聞中心青島分中心共接待了境內(nèi)外記者747人，組織舉辦了城市運(yùn)行新聞發(fā)布會(huì)13場(chǎng)，為媒體記者精心安排了5大類60多項(xiàng)具體采訪和文化、旅游觀光活動(dòng)。媒體工作間接待記者近2000人次，提供了非常好的媒體服務(wù)，組織了近20場(chǎng)媒體集體采訪活動(dòng)、11場(chǎng)賽事媒體通氣會(huì)、11場(chǎng)前三名獲獎(jiǎng)運(yùn)動(dòng)員新聞發(fā)布會(huì)和3場(chǎng)賽事組織運(yùn)行新聞發(fā)布會(huì)，我們共派發(fā)媒體船252條次、媒體記者863人次。為媒體提供了及時(shí)、準(zhǔn)確、高質(zhì)量的奧林匹克新聞服務(wù)，提供帆船項(xiàng)目的背景信息439條，及時(shí)準(zhǔn)確地發(fā)布了各類賽時(shí)新聞371條。中央電視臺(tái)直播了3場(chǎng)奧帆賽比賽，高質(zhì)量的新聞宣傳和媒體運(yùn)行工作進(jìn)一步提升了城市形象，擴(kuò)大了城市影響力和美譽(yù)度。同時(shí)，奧帆賽期間的新聞宣傳與媒體運(yùn)行工作，也為我們今后的新聞宣傳積累了經(jīng)驗(yàn)。
　　 記者：8月20日，中國(guó)運(yùn)動(dòng)員殷劍在奧帆賽上奪得女子帆板比賽金牌，您在第一時(shí)間向殷劍表示祝賀，請(qǐng)談?wù)勀�的感受�?
　　 夏耕：作為奧帆委主席，我始終有一個(gè)愿望，就是希望在青島這片美麗的海灣，在奧帆賽場(chǎng)上，奏響中華人民共和國(guó)國(guó)歌，實(shí)現(xiàn)中國(guó)代表團(tuán)在奧運(yùn)會(huì)帆船帆板項(xiàng)目金牌“零”的突破。
　　 8月20日是一個(gè)值得特別紀(jì)念的日子。這一天，經(jīng)過十輪系列賽和一輪獎(jiǎng)牌輪的激烈角逐，中國(guó)帆船隊(duì)殷劍在女子帆板比賽中勇奪金牌，青島奧林匹克帆船中心奏響了中華人民共和國(guó)國(guó)歌。中國(guó)帆船隊(duì)的第一枚奧運(yùn)金牌能在青島產(chǎn)生，非常令人振奮和鼓舞。
　　 我想，殷劍的奪冠，使本屆奧帆賽錦上添花，更加圓滿。同時(shí)這一優(yōu)異成績(jī)將激發(fā)后來者不斷超越，能夠引導(dǎo)更多的青少年加入到帆船隊(duì)伍，中國(guó)的帆船帆板運(yùn)動(dòng)和青島打造中國(guó)“帆船之都”的步伐將進(jìn)一步加快。
　　 記者：張娟娟在2008北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)上取得了女子射箭金牌，不僅了創(chuàng)造射箭史的奧運(yùn)記錄，而且實(shí)現(xiàn)了青島運(yùn)動(dòng)員在奧運(yùn)金牌上零的突破。作為青島市市長(zhǎng)，請(qǐng)您談?wù)剬?duì)這枚金牌的感想。
　　 夏耕：看到張娟娟奪得金牌的瞬間，我感到非常振奮、很受鼓舞。張娟娟這枚金牌不僅是中國(guó)射箭運(yùn)動(dòng)的一個(gè)里程碑，同時(shí)也是青島籍運(yùn)動(dòng)員在奧運(yùn)賽場(chǎng)上獲得的首枚記牌，實(shí)現(xiàn)了青島奧運(yùn)金牌零的歷史性突破。特別是她不畏強(qiáng)手，過關(guān)斬將，打破了韓國(guó)在奧運(yùn)會(huì)上對(duì)射箭項(xiàng)目的長(zhǎng)期壟斷，意義非凡，全市人民為她自豪、為她驕傲。
　　 青島有22位運(yùn)動(dòng)員參加了本屆奧運(yùn)會(huì)，以張娟娟為代表的青島運(yùn)動(dòng)員在奧運(yùn)會(huì)上不屈不撓、頑強(qiáng)拼搏，勇奪一枚金牌、一枚銀牌、兩枚銅牌，創(chuàng)造了青島運(yùn)動(dòng)員在奧運(yùn)會(huì)歷史上的最好成績(jī)，他們?yōu)樽鎳?guó)贏得了榮譽(yù)，為青島爭(zhēng)得了光彩。青島奧運(yùn)健兒的表現(xiàn)，必將極大地推動(dòng)青島體育事業(yè)和全民健身運(yùn)動(dòng)的開展，激勵(lì)全市人民在各自的崗位上發(fā)奮工作，推動(dòng)經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)實(shí)現(xiàn)又好又快發(fā)展。

　　 夏耕：籌辦奧帆賽的七年，我們與國(guó)際帆聯(lián)、各國(guó)帆船協(xié)會(huì)結(jié)下了身后的友誼，他們對(duì)青島打造中國(guó)的“帆船之都”非常支持。同時(shí)，青島一流的國(guó)際帆船中心，奧帆賽積累的經(jīng)驗(yàn)，以及青島帆船運(yùn)動(dòng)的基礎(chǔ)，都有助我們把青島打造成中國(guó)的“帆船之都”，進(jìn)而使青島成為在國(guó)際上具有一定知名度的帆船城市。
　　 近幾年來，為打造帆船之都，我們主要做了四件事：一是普及帆船知識(shí)，推廣帆船運(yùn)動(dòng)。實(shí)施了“千帆競(jìng)發(fā)2008”工程，啟動(dòng)了“千帆競(jìng)發(fā)2008”帆船運(yùn)動(dòng)進(jìn)校園活動(dòng)，開展了青少年帆船運(yùn)動(dòng)“雙千計(jì)劃”，發(fā)動(dòng)社會(huì)各界捐贈(zèng)1000條帆船，聘請(qǐng)外國(guó)專家培育1000名青少年帆船運(yùn)動(dòng)員。此外，我們?cè)谌�市設(shè)立39所帆船運(yùn)動(dòng)特色學(xué)校，建立100個(gè)中小學(xué)生帆船俱樂部。二是結(jié)緣國(guó)際組織，加盟大型賽事。成功運(yùn)作“青島號(hào)”參加兩屆克利伯環(huán)球帆船賽，并組織了青島站活動(dòng)。在奧帆賽期間，青島市政府與克利伯組委會(huì)簽署了新的合作協(xié)議，青島有希望成為克利伯環(huán)球帆船賽在中國(guó)的永久一站；明年2月，著名的沃爾沃環(huán)球帆船賽也將抵達(dá)青島。三是開展境外推介，擴(kuò)大形象宣傳。確立了“國(guó)外宣傳重吸引、國(guó)內(nèi)宣傳重造勢(shì)、市內(nèi)宣傳重動(dòng)員”的思路，實(shí)行了奧運(yùn)宣傳、招商引資、旅游促銷和城市推介“四位一體”，在全球37個(gè)城市開展了宣傳推介工作。四是組建了由青島運(yùn)動(dòng)員組成的天泰英凌鈴級(jí)女子帆船隊(duì)，代表中國(guó)參加奧帆賽，首次出征奧帆賽就取得了該項(xiàng)目的第八名的不錯(cuò)戰(zhàn)績(jī)。
　　 通過承辦奧帆賽，青島培養(yǎng)了一大批優(yōu)秀人才，在各方面形成了與國(guó)際慣例接軌的行為規(guī)范。在支持奧帆賽、參與奧帆賽、奉獻(xiàn)奧帆賽的過程中，帆船運(yùn)動(dòng)也從知音難覓走入了普通市民的生活，帆船成為普通青島市民割舍不開的一個(gè)生活元素，成為這座城市一個(gè)全新時(shí)尚的代名詞。奧林匹克帆船中心讓青島有了開展帆船運(yùn)動(dòng)的場(chǎng)所，青少年帆船運(yùn)動(dòng)員的培訓(xùn)讓青島有了駕馭帆船的后備人才，帆船俱樂部的建立讓喜歡帆船運(yùn)動(dòng)的人找到了參與帆船運(yùn)動(dòng)的組織。這一切都在預(yù)示著，帆船運(yùn)動(dòng)在青島前景無量。
　　 記者：作為市長(zhǎng)，您認(rèn)為奧帆賽留給青島最大的財(cái)富是什么？
　　 夏耕：對(duì)800萬青島人民來說，剛剛過去的奧帆賽是值得一生珍藏的美好記憶，青島人民對(duì)奧林匹克的真誠(chéng)奉獻(xiàn)，必將載入百年奧運(yùn)帆船運(yùn)動(dòng)的史冊(cè)；對(duì)青島這座城市而言，奧帆賽則是加速城市向更高層次發(fā)展和跨越的一個(gè)全新機(jī)遇。
　　 奧帆賽留給青島的財(cái)富是一篇大文章，可以說有看得見的，更有許多是看不見的。比如，通過奧帆賽籌辦給這座城市帶來的開放氛圍、社會(huì)的文明程度、市民的環(huán)保意識(shí)、為國(guó)爭(zhēng)光的精神以及整個(gè)城市形成的團(tuán)結(jié)協(xié)作體制機(jī)制，都將成為未來青島發(fā)展的重要財(cái)富。
　　 研究數(shù)據(jù)顯示，奧帆賽對(duì)青島經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展的拉動(dòng)作用大概占整個(gè)GDP的4.5%，每年可以拉動(dòng)GDP增長(zhǎng)0.8個(gè)百分點(diǎn)左右，特別是旅游業(yè)、物流業(yè)、服務(wù)業(yè)、會(huì)展業(yè)得到迅猛發(fā)展。另一方面，奧帆賽的后續(xù)效應(yīng)將對(duì)服務(wù)業(yè)的拉動(dòng)作用持續(xù)一個(gè)較長(zhǎng)時(shí)期，助推青島市經(jīng)濟(jì)實(shí)力進(jìn)一步增強(qiáng)；奧帆賽成功運(yùn)用的環(huán)保新技術(shù)、可持續(xù)發(fā)展理念在賽后將會(huì)加快向全市經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)其他領(lǐng)域推廣應(yīng)用；奧帆賽是讓世界了解青島的一個(gè)過程，世界將以更加全面的目光、更加熱情的態(tài)度接納青島。青島則將以更加自信的心態(tài)、更加雄厚的實(shí)力融入世界，促進(jìn)與世界各國(guó)各地區(qū)的交流。
　　 在籌辦奧帆賽的過程中，青島市加大了城市環(huán)境景觀建設(shè)和環(huán)境整頓治理力度，群眾生產(chǎn)生活條件得到了極大改善，使奧帆賽的籌辦成為一項(xiàng)惠及民生的偉大工程。通過實(shí)施綠色奧運(yùn)，青島的生態(tài)特色更加鮮明，城市環(huán)境更加優(yōu)美。
　　 在籌辦奧帆賽推進(jìn)人文奧運(yùn)過程中，我們把提升市民文明素質(zhì)、提升城市文明程度作為核心要素，把建設(shè)現(xiàn)代濱海文化名城與奧運(yùn)文化結(jié)合起來，圍繞奧運(yùn)主題，創(chuàng)作了一批富有奧運(yùn)情結(jié)的藝術(shù)精品，舉辦了一批具有地域特色的文化活動(dòng)，組織了一批傳遞奧運(yùn)精神的對(duì)外文化交流。奧帆賽期間，組委會(huì)及所有工作人員一絲不茍、精益求精、確保落實(shí)的務(wù)實(shí)精神，活躍在賽場(chǎng)內(nèi)外的志愿者服務(wù)社會(huì)、助人為樂的奉獻(xiàn)精神，市民為當(dāng)好東道主自覺提升素質(zhì)、規(guī)范服務(wù)的主人翁精神，成為青島人民的寶貴精神財(cái)富，它極大地豐富了青島城市精神，是我們加快發(fā)展的強(qiáng)大動(dòng)力。

The training of young and adolescent athletes enables Qingdao to have the talents to navigate the sailboats. The establishment of sailing clubs enabled those who like sailing to find the organization to participate in the sport. All these imply that the sport of sailing has a promising future in Qingdao.
　　 R: What do you think is the greatest legacy the Olympic Regatta has left for Qingdao?
　　 Xia: Taking advantage of the Olympic opportunity, Qingdao has launched the adjustment of its industrial structure.
　　 Research data reveals that roughly 4.5 percent of the recent GDP increase in Qingdao"s economic development has been brought about by the Olympic Regatta. Every year, it can promote about 0.8 percent increase in the GDP. After the Olympic Regatta, the tourism industry, logistics industry, service industry and conference and exhibition industry in particular will show rapid development. Moreover, the continuing effects of the Olympic Regatta in the service industry will last a long time, thus promoting the further increase of Qingdao"s economic power.
　　 In the course of preparing for the Olympic Regatta, Qingdao made efforts to construct urban landscapes and improve the environment. Consequently, people"s working and living conditions have been greatly improved, thus enabling the great project of the Olympic Regatta to bring about considerable benefits to people"s lives.
　　
　　 In the course of preparing for the Olympic Regatta, based on promoting the comprehensive service functions of the city, by means of connecting the building of a modern famous city and the Olympic culture, and centering around the Olympic theme, we have created a host of art works, hosted a number of cultural activities with regional characteristics, and organized aseries of foreign cultural exchanges relaying the Olympic spirit. During the Olympic sailing competitions, the citizens consciously conduct themselves to act as the hosts, which becomes the treasured spiritual wealth of the people of Qingdao and considerably enriches the city spirit of Qingdao. It is also a source of energetic power for us to speed up our development.

　　 Xia: After ten series of races and the final medal race, Chinese sailor Yin Jian won gold medal of the RS:X Women"s race and broke the "zero gold medal" record of the Chinese sailing team. We felt very excited and encouraged that the first gold medalist of the Chinese sailing team could be born in Qingdao. Yin Jian"s gold medal made the Olympic Regatta this time exceptionally satisfying.
　　 R: Zhang Juanjuan won the gold medal for women"s archery at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, which not only created a record in the Olympic archery history, but also broke the "ero gold medal" for Qingdao athletes at the Olympics. As mayor of Qingdao, could you talk about your feelings about this gold medal?
　　 Xia: I felt very excited and encouraged at the moment when Zhang Juanjuan won the gold medal. The gold medal won by Zhang Juanjuan not only was a milestone in Chinese archery, but also broke the "zero gold medal" for Qingdao athletes at the Olympics and realized Qingdao people"s expectations on the Olympics. Moreover, she broke South Korea"s dominance of archery at the Olympic Games. So the people of the whole city feel proud of her.
　　 R: When leaving Qingdao after the Olympic Regatta was completed, International Sailing Federation President Goran Petersson said that he hoped Qingdao would continue to popularize the sport of sailing. How do you understand and treat his words?
　　 Xia: Through hosting the Olympic Regatta, Qingdao has trained a host of excellent talented people and has formed the codes of conduct following the international practice with regard to all aspects. In the course of supporting the Olympic Regatta, participating in the Olympic Regatta and fulfilling our obligations to the Olympic Regatta, sailing has become an inseparable element in the lives of the

　　 R: In terms of the racing events organization, service and security, what do you think in Qingdao is worthy of being acclaimed?

　　 Reporter (R): As Chairman of the SSCQD, could you give us a review of the Olympic Regatta that has just come to an end?
　　 Xia Geng (Xia): During the Olympic Regatta, thanks to outstanding organization work, Qingdao guaranteed the smooth process of the racing events, thus fulfilling the solemn promise made to the international community and winning high acclaim from IOC President Jacques Rogge. Regarding the 2008 Olympic Regatta, the judgment of the International Olympic Committee and the International Sailing Federation was that it was the "most brilliant Olympic sailing competition in history. The organization of
　　ceremonies were smoothly held. The sailing competitions not only increased the fierce level of the races, but also promoted the appreciation level. The "Qingdao mode" made its own contribution to the sport of sailing and to future Olympic Regattas, thus creating its own speial characteristics that deserve to be recorded in history.
　　 The facilities of our Olympic Sub-village were operated smoothly, which created a good living environment for the competitors. Our facilities for spectators created a new record in the Olympic competition. The land spectator area and the Theme Park served a crowd of more than 200,000 people. In the previous Olympic sailing competitions, no land area was available for spectators.
　　 Moreover, the work concerning security, transport, lodging, departure and arrival, registration, medical care, logistics and technological specification was all performed in an orderly fashion which ensured the smooth process of the Olympic Regatta and won full affirmation and high acclaim from the International Olympic Committee and the International Sailing Federation.
　　 R: How do you evaluate the volunteer service work for the Olympic Regatta?
　　 Xia: With their brilliant smiles, enthusiastic professional service and high quality work, the volunteers provided a sound guarantee for the smooth operation of the racing events. They, therefore won acclaim from all their various clients and became a beautiful landscape feature. IOC President Jacques Rogge said that the outstanding work of the volunteers showcased the friendliness and enthusiasm of the Chinese people. Every volunteer kept smiling and was eager to help others. This was their genuine success.
　　 R: Could you introduce the press, publicity and media operation during the period of the Olympic sailing competition?
