7月21日，距離2008年北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)還有18天。 　　 這一天，清晨中的青島在霏霏細(xì)雨之后，露出了久違的晴朗，淡淡的陽光在一片片祥云中若隱若現(xiàn)，仿佛天空也想在這個(gè)吉祥的日子里，給青島帶來好運(yùn)和祝福。
　　
　　
　　
　　 這一天，值得永遠(yuǎn)銘記。取自奧運(yùn)會(huì)發(fā)源地――雅典古奧林匹亞遺址，象征著和平、友誼、希望和光明的奧運(yùn)圣火來到了中國(guó)的“帆船之都”――青島，來到了800萬青島市民的中間，并經(jīng)過259名火炬手的手手相傳，完成了在中國(guó)山東的首站傳遞。
　　 259名擎著奧運(yùn)火炬前行的人，無論是中華兒女，還是海外友人；無論是抗震英雄，還是金牌工人，或是科研專家；無論是商賈政要，還是平民百姓，都有一個(gè)共同的名字――火炬手，他們雖然步伐輕盈，心情卻始終澎湃。
　　 這一天，北京奧運(yùn)圣火在青島受到了空前的禮遇：“祥云”登上了曾經(jīng)東渡日本、南下香港進(jìn)行城市推介的“青島號(hào)”大帆船，完成了北京奧運(yùn)圣火在境內(nèi)傳遞過程中的首次海上接力。直升機(jī)航拍、媒體船隊(duì)跟拍、攝像車直錄……海、陸、空全方位的先鋒媒體在第一時(shí)間記錄下火炬?zhèn)鬟f的過程，中央電視臺(tái)奧運(yùn)頻道、山東電視臺(tái)和青島電視臺(tái)直播的同時(shí)，來自青島的嘉賓坐在直播間里自豪地解說著屬于全體青島人的接力盛況……
　　 100分！這是國(guó)際奧委會(huì)和北京奧組委分別給青島火炬?zhèn)鬟f活動(dòng)的高度評(píng)價(jià)。圣火所到之處受到了人們的熱烈歡迎，火炬大道兩側(cè)望不到盡頭的觀眾皆以飽含激情的加油聲為北京奧運(yùn)圣火歡呼、為北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)助威，向世界傳遞著800萬青島市民的熱情……青島成為北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)火炬安保工作聯(lián)合先遣組眼中全國(guó)奧運(yùn)火炬接力以來，秩序最好、氣氛最熱烈的城市。
　　 奧運(yùn)圣火傳遞著中華民族的百年奧運(yùn)夢(mèng)，也延續(xù)著青島市民的奧運(yùn)激情！奧運(yùn)圣火見證了紅瓦綠樹、碧海藍(lán)天交相輝映的迷人風(fēng)采，也見證了青島山、海、城、帆、人的和諧之路。

Wherever it has appeared, the Holy Fire has been warmly welcomed by the people, who have cheered around the world for the Olympic Torch and theBeijing Olympic Games. The Torch appearance here showcased the enthusiasm of our eight million Qingdao citizens.
