There is a saying in Chinese which says it is always better to teach a person who are hungry to fish than to give him some fish. The difference is that the person you helped can deal with this difficulty without you next time. We can find the deep meaning of the sentence is to tell people to teach others the way to do something rather than give him the things he needs.

In our daily life, our parents often help us too much, which makes us lazy and not know how to look after ourselves as well as others. If the situation continues, we may never develop the good habit and may be too selfish. So they are giving us things directly rather than teaching us how to get the things.

What should we do? We should realize that we should try to study whatever things we can do ourselves and do them instead of depending on somebody completely.

Whether sixty or sixteen, there is in every human being's heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what's next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long are you young.

An individual human existence should be like a river—small at first, narrowly contained within its banks, and rushing passionately past boulders and over waterfalls. Gradually the river grows wider, the banks recede, the waters flow more quietly, and in the end, without any visible break, they become merged in the sea, and painlessly lose their individual being.

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over

timidity,of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of sixty more than a boy of twenty.Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

English is the most popular language in the world, and it is also most widely spoken of all the language. It is mother tongue in many important countries, such as the USA,England, Australia and so on. In India, Though it is not the mother tongue, it ‘sthe important official

The 2008 Olympics will be hosted in Beijing. Many foreigners will come to China. We should try our best to serve the Olympics. For example, we can help the foreign visitors if we learn English well.

Examination(考試)

Someone says examination can help us go over our lessons in time and after the examination we can find how we are getting on

with our studies. But we are always having too many examinations and they are also too difficult for us to get through.I find some of us have lost interest in learning lessons. Besides,it is harmful to our health as we hardly have any time to go in for sports. I think the present system of measurement should be improved.
