     在2004年泰山東岳廟會(huì)上,岱廟、王母池、關(guān)帝廟、普照寺、林校操場(chǎng)等著名景點(diǎn)都成為中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文化的演藝場(chǎng),處處散發(fā)著民間藝術(shù)特有的芬芳,形成了古代廟宇與民間風(fēng)情完美的結(jié)合。
  位于山東省中部的泰山,方圓426平方公里,海拔1545米,素有“五岳之尊”、“天下第一山”之譽(yù)。泰山以雄偉著稱于世,更有豐厚的文化積淀,歷史上多位皇帝來(lái)此舉行封禪大典,祭祀天地神靈。泰山上下?lián)碛?0多處古建筑群落、1400余處歷代刻石,加以歷代文人留下的詩(shī)詞篇章,使泰山成為東方文化的縮影。
  如今,濃濃的民俗風(fēng)情又給泰山帶來(lái)一抹亮麗的風(fēng)景,每年的東岳廟會(huì)吸引了數(shù)以萬(wàn)計(jì)的中外游客來(lái)此觀光。泰山東岳廟會(huì)歷史源遠(yuǎn)流長(zhǎng),始于唐末,興于宋,鼎盛于明清,綿延千百年,經(jīng)久不衰。泰安市根據(jù)泰山腳下各種廟宇的實(shí)際文化定位和地理位置,組織各種不同風(fēng)格的民俗、民間藝術(shù)及戲曲、曲藝、雜技在廟內(nèi)演出,或組織一定的宗教儀式,形成群眾性的“串廟”活動(dòng),凝結(jié)成為中華民族的傳統(tǒng)文化瑰寶。
  廟會(huì)期間還將有茶文化節(jié)、大學(xué)生服裝模特大賽等內(nèi)容,異彩紛呈的系列活動(dòng)讓古老的泰山充滿了旺盛的活力!肮鋿|岳廟會(huì),覽民俗風(fēng)情,祈國(guó)泰民安”是這次東岳廟會(huì)的主題。廟會(huì)期間無(wú)論走在泰安街頭還是出入泰山腳下寺廟廣場(chǎng),處處都能感受到濃厚的節(jié)日氣氛,領(lǐng)略到民間藝術(shù)的風(fēng)采。
  經(jīng)過(guò)1000多年的發(fā)展,泰山東岳廟會(huì)已經(jīng)成為中國(guó)廟會(huì)文化的源頭之一。今天,古老的東岳廟會(huì)又被賦予了新的內(nèi)容,煥發(fā)出更加迷人的風(fēng)采,成為泰山旅游的新亮點(diǎn)。
  
  During the 2004 Dongyue Temple Fair on Mount Tai, many famous scenic spots Ñ such as the Dai Temple, Lingying Taoist Temple, Wangmu Pool, Guandi Temple, Puzhao Temple, and Linxiao Playground Ñ all become arenas for the display and performance of traditional Chinese culture, producing a perfect combination of the ancient temples and the local customs.
  
  Mount Tai, located in central Shandong Province, covers an area of 426 square kilometers with an altitude of 1545 meters above sea level and is renowned as the “Number One” mountain among the five famous mountains of China. The five are Mount Tai in the east, Mount Hua in the west, Mount Huang in the south, Mount Heng in the north, and Mount Song in the middle.
  Taishan is famous as being magnificent and enchanting. Besides, its rich cultural features make it even more remarkable. Throughout China’s long history, many emperors came here to offer sacrifices to Heaven and Earth. From the foot to the peak of Mount Tai, there are more than 20 construction complexes as well as 1,400 stone inscriptions or calligraphies from cultural celebrities representing many dynasties, making Taishan an epitome of oriental culture.
  In fact, because of its unique combination of scenic splendor and historical memorabilia, Mount Tai was the very first place on Earth designated by UNESCO as both a World Natural Heritage Site and a World Cultural Heritage Site. Nowadays, the abundance of local customs and folk arts add even more fascination to Mount Tai.
  The Dongyue Temple Fair hosted every year for dozens of thousands tourists from home and abroad. This annual event began in the Tang Dynasty (618-907), flourished during the Song Dynasty (960-1279), and reached the height of its prosperity during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. After nearly 1500 years, the tradition is still cherished. During the Temple Fair, according to the different culture and geographical on Mount Tai, a panoply of folk customs, art performances, dramas, and acrobatics are hosted by the temples. Some religious ceremonies are also organized to display the traditional Chinese culture.
  
  In addition, other new performances, such as the Tea Culture Festival and the Fashion Model Competition for College Students, are hosted during the fair period.
  “Go to the Dongyue Temple Fair to appreciate the folk customs and pray for the prosperity of the nation” is the main theme of the fair in 2004. Wherever you go - whether in the streets of downtown Tai’an or the Temple Square at the foot Taishan Ñ you can feel the festive atmosphere and appreciate the wonders of the folk customs and crafts of Mount Tai.
  Because of its ancient historical roots, the Taishan Dongyue Temple Fair is noteworthy as the principal origin of the temple fair culture in China. Nowadays, with new contents added, the Dongyue Temple Fair has become a major drawing card for boosting tourism at Mount Tai.
