Now he is calling B, the secretary of the company, to arrange a meeting with her boss, Mr. Smith, so that he can introduce a new product to him. They decide to meet at ten on this Friday, but later B calls back to inform A that something unexpected comes up and her boss has to cancel the meeting. Finally they reschedule it on next Monday morning.

5. A, the PR manager of a company, is interviewing a candidate, B, who wants to switch from his/her original company to this one. A asks B some questions about his/her educational background, working experience and the reasons for choosing this company, and B gives his/her answers politely. At last, A decides to give B three months’ probation (試用期).

6. A asks B why people say “knock on wood” when they want to avoid bad luck. B explains that it has something to do with ancient Celts who thought trees could suck demons back into the ground. A feels strange that so many people are superstitious. B holds the view that one’s fate is linked to his or her attitude to life rather than superstitions.

7. A sees B is reading travel brochures. B tells A that he/she is planning a trip abroad in May, but he/she can not make up his/her mind on the two tours offered: one to big American cities; the other to Europe. B proposes the trip to Europe where one can experience different languages, architecture, food and customs. A agrees with B’s suggestion.

8. A and B are discussing why some people protest genetically modified (GM) foods though many people suffer from starvation around the world and why GM foods should be labeled. Their reasons are given as follows: GM foods may be unsafe; GM fish are abnormally large, etc.

9. A news article claims the rapid growth of China’s foreign trade. A wonders how the foreign trade can grow so fast and B explains the reasons. Furthermore, B also gives account for the benefits and potential problems that China’s joining the WTO has brought about. A can not help admiring B’s wide knowledge.

10. A finds that American people walk faster than people in China. His/her friend B tells him/her that Americans treasure the time, and shows several examples of how the sense of time affects American lifestyle. A remains puzzled about the differences between American and Chinese notions of time. B believes that globalization and intercultural communication will bridge the gap.

一、 試題設(shè)計 (Test Design)

關(guān)于海南師范大學(xué)2012級普通本科班學(xué)生第四學(xué)期大學(xué)英語口語考試, 現(xiàn)初步擬定采用以下設(shè)計方案。

1. 考試內(nèi)容:(題型;方式;題目數(shù)量;約占時間)

本次口語考試形式為Dialogue,學(xué)生通過抽簽選擇其中一個情景進(jìn)行對話?荚噧(nèi)容涉及10 個口語話題,具體內(nèi)容和要求如下:

1) 情景對話 (Dialogues) (共10個情景)。

2) 對話要求至少6—10個來回。

*注:以上考試回答內(nèi)容中,句子的計數(shù)不包括問候和自我介紹。

2. 具體操作: (Test Procedures)

抽簽選題作答,總共10個簽。每位學(xué)生都有一位固定對話伙伴,抽簽只能由其中一人完成。學(xué)生抽簽后根據(jù)相應(yīng)選題內(nèi)容作答;抽到試題后準(zhǔn)備3分鐘,準(zhǔn)備時間和答題時間不得超過3分鐘。部分學(xué)生由于需要配合其他同學(xué)進(jìn)行對話而進(jìn)行兩次考試時,其成績?nèi)∽罡叩囊淮斡浄帧?/p>

二、評分標(biāo)準(zhǔn) (Assessment Criteria)

1. 口語考試以百分制計分,滿分為100分;該成績占期末總評成績10%。

2. 依據(jù)1) 語音、語調(diào);2) 語言;3) 內(nèi)容;4) 流利程度四項要求進(jìn)行總體評分,每10

分為一個等級。

90至100分: 回答內(nèi)容含9句到10句話或以上,語音語調(diào)標(biāo)準(zhǔn),表達(dá)內(nèi)容、語法和詞

匯準(zhǔn)確,表達(dá)中詞匯豐富、語法結(jié)構(gòu)較為復(fù)雜;能進(jìn)行較長時間語言連貫、

流利的發(fā)言;能自然、積極地進(jìn)行交流,總體上與語境、功能和目的相適

應(yīng)。

80至89分: 回答內(nèi)容含8-10句話或以上,語音語調(diào)較好,允許有個別發(fā)音錯誤;表

達(dá)內(nèi)容準(zhǔn)確,語法和詞匯有個別錯誤,詞匯較豐富,語法結(jié)構(gòu)運(yùn)用準(zhǔn)確;

語速適當(dāng),發(fā)言連貫,組織思維和詞語時偶有停頓。

70至79分: 回答內(nèi)容含7-10句話或以上,發(fā)音尚可,語法和詞匯有一些錯誤但未影響

交流和理解,表達(dá)內(nèi)容基本貼切;語言連貫性、流利性一般,但多數(shù)發(fā)言

較簡短,組織思想和搜尋詞語時頻繁出現(xiàn)停頓。

60至69分: 回答內(nèi)容含6-10句話或以上,語法和詞匯有較多錯誤,表達(dá)過程中詞匯不

豐富,語法結(jié)構(gòu)較簡單;發(fā)音有缺陷,有時會影響交流;組織思想和搜尋

詞語時頻繁出現(xiàn)較長時間的停頓,但能夠基本完成交流任務(wù)。

60分以下: 回答內(nèi)容少于6句話或6句話以上,語法和詞匯有較多錯誤,以致妨礙理

解,表達(dá)過程中因缺乏詞匯和語法結(jié)構(gòu)而影響交際,發(fā)音較差,以致交際

時常中斷,發(fā)言簡短且毫無連貫性,幾乎無法進(jìn)行交流或?qū)υ挕?/p>

3. 答題時間超過3分鐘者酌情扣5—10分。
