The summer holiday is coming. My classmates and I are talking about how to do during the holiday. We can chose between staying at home and take a trip. Nearly five years before ,and with the help by our father, my sister and I planted some cherry tomatoes(圣女果)in our back garden, since then---for all these year---we had been allowing tomatoes to self-seed where they please . As result, the plants are growing somewhere. The fruits are small in size, but juicy and taste. There are so much that we often share them with our neighbors .Although we allow tomato plants to grow in the same place year after year, but we have never had any disease or insect attack problem. 1試題特點
從近幾年的高考短文改錯題看,試題具有下面的特點:
1.選材
短文改錯的文體多為第一/三人稱記敘文、應用文(以書信為主)。一般在110詞左右。所選取的語言材料貼近實際生活,多為考生所熟知,且話題貼近學生,有的帶點幽默,有的包含教育意義。文字淺顯易懂,材料中沒有生僻、超綱的詞匯;句子結構簡單,基本上是簡單句和并不復雜的復合句;語言地道,符合英語語言習慣。
2.考點
短文改錯所考查的詞類覆蓋面廣,分布合理。其重點是從句法、詞法和行文邏輯等角度考查考生在語篇中綜合運用英語的能力,同時兼顧句型結構、習慣搭配等。有無錯、錯詞、缺詞和多詞等四種可能。錯詞現(xiàn)象主要出現(xiàn)在名詞單復數(shù)、動詞時態(tài)、非謂語動詞、連詞、介詞、主謂一致、代詞、詞形(指應該用動詞、名詞還是形容詞形式,以及平行結構中詞的正確形式)、冠詞;缺詞現(xiàn)象主要出現(xiàn)在冠詞(名詞前)、介詞(不及物動詞后或固定結構中)、助動詞、不定式符號to、連詞、語義不完整現(xiàn)象等方面;多詞現(xiàn)象主要出現(xiàn)在冠詞、介詞、助動詞、連詞、語義重復及行文邏輯等方面。
作為一個與時俱進的新題型,新課標試卷中的短文改錯是考生失分較多的題型。原因有兩個方面:一是錯誤的不確定性。這主要是因為和傳統(tǒng)的短文改錯相比,新課標短文改錯每行可能有兩個錯誤。二是因為設錯的內容多為考生在平常進行語言操練時常犯的錯誤。
2 答題原則
答題原則應牢記在心
1.―規(guī)范性‖原則:要嚴格按照示范規(guī)定的符號改錯。要記住錯詞糾正、缺詞填補、多詞刪除對應的修改標志。切忌用文字說明或用箭頭表示。
2.―四不改‖原則:①單詞拼寫不改;②大小寫不改;③詞序錯誤不改(應從錯詞或少詞方面考慮);④標點符號不改。
3.―五改動‖原則:①忠實于原文原則(不可改變原文的原意);②一對一原則;③錯誤以改動最少為原則; ④虛詞以添加或者刪除為原則; ⑤實詞以改變形式為原則。
3 解題步驟
一共四步,分別是:
1. 瀏覽短文,弄清大意
因短文改錯主要考查考生在篇章結構中對英語語言知識的綜合運用能力,所以考生在做短文改錯題時,首先應瀏覽短文,弄清短文大意,并在瀏覽的同時注意兩個問題:一是要順便改出那些較明顯的錯誤,二是要對語意不通的地方(即有行文邏輯錯誤的地方)初步作好記號。
2. 逐句研讀,逐行改錯
通過瀏覽短文,弄清大意(同時還改出了部分明顯錯誤)之后,下一步就是要逐句研讀。這里我們強調考生要逐―句‖去讀、逐―句‖去改,因為短文改錯題只有一句一句地研讀,才能弄清句子意思,把握句子結構,從而為改錯奠定基礎(若是行文邏輯方面的錯誤,我們不僅要逐句讀,而且還要聯(lián)系上下文通篇地讀);只有一句句地讀懂了短文意思,你才算大功告成。
3. 對照考點,推敲難點
通過以上兩步,你應該已經改出了一些錯誤,假若第一步瀏覽短文,你順便改出了二、三處錯誤,第二步逐句研讀,又改出了三、四處錯誤,現(xiàn)在還剩下三、四處的錯誤未改出,怎么辦呢?此時你就可以走捷徑了,這條捷徑就是要―對照考點‖改錯。通過下面的題型研究,我們知道短文改錯題中的考點具有較好的穩(wěn)定性。比如在正常情況下―動詞時態(tài)”、“代詞”、“冠詞”、“介詞”、“形容詞和副詞”、“名詞單復數(shù)”、“各類從句的引導詞”等,是幾乎每年都出現(xiàn)的。如果你心中裝著這些考點,那么你現(xiàn)在就可以對照這些考點改錯了。比如:假若你在已經找出的錯誤中你沒有發(fā)現(xiàn) ―時態(tài)‖錯誤,那么建議你重點去找找時態(tài)方面的錯誤;假若在你已經找出的錯誤中你沒有發(fā)現(xiàn)―非謂語動詞‖錯誤,那么建議你重點去找找非謂語動詞的錯誤,等等。我們認為這樣與各考
點一一對照,你一定會有―收獲‖的。另外還要利用多詞句、缺詞句、無錯句等錯誤類型的分布規(guī)律來判斷難點。
4. 通讀短文,最后復查
最后這一步其實很重要,當你改完所有錯誤之后,然后你要再將改正后的短文通讀一遍,最后從―語感‖方面檢查一次,看看有沒有行文不暢的地方,讀起來拗口的地方等等,若有就應該再修改一下。另外在最后復查一步還要將你找出的錯誤與?伎键c(如動詞時態(tài)、非謂語動詞、名詞單復數(shù)、冠詞等)以及設錯句類型(如無錯句、多詞句、缺詞句等)進行大致的對照,看看它們是不是基本―到位‖了。
4 常見錯誤歸類
常見錯誤舉例分析
1.不一致性
主要包括:主、謂語不一致;時態(tài)不一致;語態(tài)不一致;名詞的單、復數(shù)不一致;代詞指代不一致;搭配不一致等。
【典例】 …care what the rest of us thought about her. Like the rest of my classmate…
【解析】 考查名詞的單、復數(shù)一致。classmate改為classmates。
2.行文邏輯
這種錯誤主要是運用行文邏輯,考查連接手段。謹記兩種句式:并列句(并列連詞),復合句(從屬連詞);六種關系:轉折關系,選擇關系,層遞關系,并列關系,因果關系,同位關系;一種變化:語義的曲折變化。如:肯定與否定,方位與時空的轉移等。
【典例】 After we left, I said, ―That was very nice of you, Mother. So I didn’t think she looked like Grandma.‖
【解析】 考查行文邏輯。So 改為But。根據(jù)前后語境,此處應表示轉折關系。
3.詞性、詞形
主要包括名詞的單復數(shù)變化、代詞的詞形變化以及形容詞和副詞的詞形變化。弄清詞性與詞性之間的相互修飾關系。比如:形容詞修飾名詞,副詞修飾形容詞、動詞、分詞等。
【典例】…black sports shoes and a black sweater ,even in the summer. She was,in fact, rather attractively,…
【解析】 考查詞性錯誤。attractively改為attractive。作表語,應該用形容詞。
4.動詞的變化
主要包括時態(tài)的詞形變化、被動語態(tài)的詞形變化、非謂語動詞的詞形變化以及第三人稱單數(shù)等。
【典例】 ―Excuse me,‖ she said, put her arm around the unhappy old woman.
【解析】 考查非謂語動詞。put改為putting。此處是分詞短語作伴隨狀語。she與put是主謂關系,故用現(xiàn)在分詞。
5.特殊疑問詞、連詞和引導詞
【典例】No lectures this morning so I think I’d email you and let you know what things are going.
【解析】 考查特殊疑問詞。what改為how。句意是:如何讓對方知道情況的進展,故應用how。
6.多詞錯誤
多詞錯誤一般有如下幾種類型:(1)受母語思維影響,出現(xiàn)漢語式結構;(2)不明詞義內涵,造成詞義重疊;(3)介詞多余;(4)助動詞、系動詞多余;(5)多冠詞;(6)定語從句中的成分重復;(7)程度副詞和頻率副詞,如 much,more,often等的多余;(8)多余小品詞to等。
【典例】 I never knew much about her except for that she was strange.
【解析】 考查多余介詞。去掉for。except that直接接賓語從句,無需再用介詞for。
7.缺詞錯誤 缺詞現(xiàn)象常見有:(1)缺系動詞;(2) 缺介詞;(3) 缺冠詞、物主代詞等限定詞;(4) 在定語從句中缺關系代詞或關系副詞;(5) 缺連接詞; (6) 缺否定詞;(7) 缺不定式符號to等。
【典例】I noticed Mother looking at a nearby table occupied by an elderly woman and young couple.
【解析】 在young之前加上a。從下文可知是一對夫婦,所以需加冠詞。
